ResortCom International, LLC

What began as a position as in-house Marketing Director has grown to a long term relationship as an outside counsel in public relations and marketing strategy. When Resort Communications merged with International Resort Management to become ResortCom International, Georgi Bohrod spearheaded the branding, messaging and collateral materials development. After a few years she left the company, but not the commitment to furthering its position as a leading provider of financial and resort operations services. Since its inception 25 years ago, ResortCom has once again morphed, providing state-of-the-art technology and a U.S. based contact center. GBG & Associates has maintained a steady flow of information to industry and local sources as well as created numerous advertising campaigns and collateral materials for this industry icon.

Fidelity National Timeshare

When Fidelity National Title Group (Maitland, FL) and Chicago Title Timeshare (Escondido, CA) formed an alliance to be known as Fidelity National Timeshare (FNT), the two entities turned to GBG to spread the word that they joined forces to strengthen their service and respond better to the needs of an ever-changing timeshare industry. The messaging had to be clear, as neither one was being purchased nor were they merging. GBG crafted communications to explain the essence of the new relationship. From press releases, targeted article placement and company descriptions, FNT is making its mark and projecting the image that it is dedicated solely to working within the timeshare and shared ownership arena.

Occidental Vacation Club

Occidental Vacation Club (OVC) has 11 resorts located in Aruba, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, and Mexico. With the help of GBG & Associates, they have touched the consumer traveler with the advantages of all-inclusive vacations and in particular, OVC’s particular niche of warm hospitality, its First Club and Grand Level memberships. In addition to placing articles in both consumer and industry publications and working with top level travel writers, GBG also has crafted content for OVC’s robust program of electronic newsletters, online Blogs, and collateral materials.

Mobius Vendor Partners/CustomerCount TM

Mobius Vendor Partners is a 14 year old business process design and management company specializing in servicing the needs of the timeshare industry. Mobius principals are active in the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) through sponsorships and committee memberships. It recently created CustomerCount, an enterprise feedback management tool which helps in identifying training initiatives for call centers, front-line sales reps and resort operations. GBG & Associates has helped put CustomerCount on the map through a combination of traditional media, social media and industry relations. Recently she crafted the nomination for Mobius Vendor Partners’ President, Robert Kobek, which resulted in him winning the ARDY Award for the Best Alliance Partner in the ARDA Awards Program.

Grand Pacific Resort Management

When Grand Pacific Resorts made a business decision to concentrate heavily on its management company division, they were faced with a dilemma. Most of the industry regarded them as solely developers. So Chief Operating Officer (then Vice President of Resort Operations) Nigel Lobo called us in to let the timeshare industry know Grand Pacific was now accepting management contracts outside of its own developed properties. GBG & Associates created an overall B2B public relations strategy to raise awareness with resort developers and Homeowners Associations. Their work has run the gamut from traditional media, initiating and implementing the company’s social media strategy, drafting award nominations and crafting of Owner Communications. It started as the best kept secret in timeshare management are now known for their secret sauce, owner engagement. Since 2011 the company has grown from 11 resorts to 18 and expanded from a predominantly Southern California foothold to include properties in Hawaii, Northern California and Canada, with more than 50,000 families.

Oombaga

August 1, 2013
Oombaga, a mobile app which allows timeshare owners to pay maintenance fees, make reservations and carry out numerous transactions with their resort has now been integrated fully at more than 20 resorts representing over 100,000 timeshare owners. Oombaga has been designed and incorporated to interface with any participating property management system(s). After a year of development in conjunction with the University of Dayton, Oombaga introduced the product to the shared ownership industry with blazing fanfare. GBG played an important role in the exciting events surrounding the announcement including a Willy Wonka festivity which featured both the President of the University of Dayton and football great Archie Griffin. This year GBG crafted numerous nominations which resulted in winning top place in both GNEX and ARDA competitions.
